A well written misery

I’m an hour and a half into this book. It’s so far focused on one solely unsympathetic character. I kept waiting for other characters to show up, but I won’t any longer. I think it’s supposed to be funny, but I really need some relatable voice to connect with.

A soothing audiobook to listen to while crafting.

His obsession with her is tiresome.

Restless and melancholy.

"The challenge is hence to create - via a study of religious institutions - secular entities that could meet the needs of the inner self with all the force and skill that corporations currently apply to satisfying the needs of the outer."

So well written, but uncomfortable and tragic. I hope it gets into art and mystery more that trauma.
