I’m starting with my favorite book of the Bible, the Gospel of Luke. I have read the a Message translation before, and although it’s radically different from other translations, I’ve gradually come to appreciate its ability to communicate familiar ideas in new and bracing ways. It’s refreshing! And from what I’ve seen so far, the devotional aids in this edition are going to be of immense value for contemplation.
