There's an obvious lapse between progress and reading, and keeping track. Not sure I like this system.

Just got started on my 4th or 5th read of Miser,

The book is quite interesting and straight forward.

Very well written, good plot but still reading.

I didn't know what was going on at the beginning, don't know now at 74% and doubt I'll ever find out. This is strangely addicting.

An oldie, cited as melodramatic, of which there is no doubt. Bittermeads also requires the wilful suspension of wanting to know what's going on. At the 74% I have no idea, nor will I be surprised if I never find out. It's the first of a long series, of which I've sampled more than a few, not finding them to my taste, but this is one is a bit addictive. They do not write them like they used to. TBS.

The heroine is so unpalatable this book is unreadable

So far really disappointed in this overly busy book, where zero attempt is made to ground the reader in all the persiflage that is thrown at you AND has two weak and boring main characters. It's probably to much to expect this book will get read.

Half-way thru, so far a very good read.
