Honestly, this is pretty rough to get through. The writing leaves a lot to be desired. I really like the concept, but so far, it is not delivering for me.

Aelin is still insufferable, but the side characters keep pulling me back in. The story is definitely picking up ✨️

Aelin is one of the most unlikable main characters I have read. She's not the WORST, but she is higher on the list.

Thank God, I'm almost done with this.

It's taken SO LONG. It's not a bad read, but man, I can not keep focused on it.

I'm on chapter 10 now and I am struggling! I don't know how I'll push through the other books. Hoping something happens to snap me back in.


Also, did we just copy and paste the FMC outline? An emotionally reactive, abused human to fae royalty woman with stomach issues?

Feyra with her watery bowels and now Celaena and her nausea/vomiting.. can't wait to see what gastro problems the FMC will have in Cresent City.
