I hate that Maik Cam barely gets any time in this book. Like this book is almost 800 pages already. Give me Kehn's son!

This is about the point where I was struggling/slowing down this book the first time. Like, I do see how/why the extra foreign politics and characters add to the plot but I also sort of don't care. Just gimme the Kauls

Oh so she’s doing a horrible job at this. At least this is an easy read?

I'm only gonna read a little because I reopened the book and it starts with Bero. The first time I read this series, I think I definitely should've taken a break because this thing is so LONG

This death wasn’t as bad but I almost forgot how much I hated the exploding killing aura

I forgot ngl how much the Espania/Yguton conflict sorta bored me

I still sorta think the foreign politics is a bit of a drag but I do see how it bulks up/enhances the story

Hilo eventually makes some fcuked up choices but he’s like the absolute pinnacle of the Loyal Character and I love him

Wow that death is a lot later on in the book than where I remembered it being

Honestly since this is a reread FCK Doru and I really wish they killed Bero. His character does become interesting but he lowkey comes off as a one dimensional “villain” and not a rounded antagonist

I honestly do not care for reading this lady's emails/the lady the mom emails. The emails itself are fine? It's interesting in how it plays into learning her POV, but I don't think the zen lady needs to be an actual character

I enjoy the hobo but I don't really enjoy having to literally read his accent

Gotta be honest— I do not care for the whole art thing but the plot/book so far is okay aside from that **Ilya voice** boring bit

I don’t find the wanting to be on tv/reporters super interesting but the book isn’t bad so far

I really don't care for the therapy portion of this book

Honestly, I feel like parts of this book could be slapped in any timeline/frame/setting. But the concept so far has been interesting even if I'm mildly distracted

I'm not expecting to love this but the idea/concept seems fun

God of course the MIL is horrible

Immediately it’s sort of weird that the grandmother and her mom are both referred to by their first names. Also I’m assuming the author lives in California and is Jewish bc there seems to be a trend

I’m really expecting them to eat people. The book is pretty easy to read, nothing too complex and all the rich friends are (probably on purpose?) obnoxious

This book isn't really doing it for me although it sort of gives a Strange Houses/Buildings vibe. Maybe it would be more enjoyable if I had the physical copy for the images

I find the weight loss interesting without the mention of what it does to the skin. (At least so far not super mentioned)
