Ughh..I almost DNF’d this, but I paid $1 for this thing so I am going to try and slog through it…

About to start the year 1914.

A very slow story so far

Not sure why, but I just feel like rereading this book. I can’t remember the last time I read it..I know I bought this book at a book fair in the late 1990s..dang I’m old annnd so is this book

I had no idea she was 37 when she had her first child.

Hmm,,,I don’t like how the characters are immediately getting comfy with each other. Pretty sure I wouldn’t be bantering with a stranger right after I rescued his dying butt from drowning. Still reading, though

Using my free audible trial to listen to this book. It could use a revamp with some women narrators being added in

I tried reading the book months ago, but couldn’t get into it…I’m enjoying the audiobook, but it is a slow start

I’m starting to get invested in the characters now..a solid three stars so far..reminds me of the Julia Robert’s movie, Mona Lisa Smile

reading this book is like reading one of her fiction novels. I wish my diary entries were written this well.

Loving the quaint English village vibes

Enjoying the audiobook narrator using her hick accent for the characters.

I am in what was made into movie #2, but there are a lot of differences..I will say that this half of the book could have been shortened…the author is getting a bit long winded with his descriptions

I love the movie, and I think I read this one time about 10 years ago…let’s see if it stays or goes

2 more weeks until this is available at my library again...

I went straight to Oxford University Press to buy the rest of these books. This was ordered in December and just got here last week. The wait will have been worth it if the first few pages are any indication...

The audiobook readers for this are amazing.
