So damn good. Honestly cannot put it down. It crosses the spectrum of human emotion so well and the story is so engrossing it makes you physically anxious when something bad is about to happen. It’s really refreshing to read stories where the “heroes” aren’t paragons of physical beauty or “gods amongst men”. This book is empowering on so many levels.

One of the most unique books I’ve read in a long time

Pretty dark and Candide-esque, but some of the passages in this book are the best writing I’ve ever read.

Wish I’d read this before The Stranger. It’s a bit more direct and expositive about the underlying messages, and I feel like it reading it before would have enhanced that experience. So far so good; really gonna make my therapist earn his keep.
