Chapter 26 and the angst is tearing me up!

Ngl, this writing feels off from the other books in the series. And I’m picking up on it because I just reread it all so quickly again. Seems like someone else wrote this book from the earlier ones.

60% through this book and she’s been with another man (and in her head) the entire time.

I am really struggling with this book and getting more and more frustrated with it.

I’ve barely started this book and I can’t stop laughing. The dialogue is 🤌

I tried. Kept seeing people talk about it but I got about 80 pages into it and was still confused. Kept getting distracted by the highlight areas too.

After reading Nalini’s other books, this one seems as if it were written by someone completely different. The writing is entirely different and I’m not a fan.

Argh! I want to slap him! How is he going to recover from this?! If Keyes let’s him off the hook easy, I’m going to be ticked.

I didn’t know how Ms Keyes was going to make this character redeemable after the last book but she did. Made me like her so much that what happens in Chapter 17 leaves me furious on her behalf. And I don’t think the hero groveled enough. She let him off WAY too easy. Totally ticked.

I’m having a tough time getting involved in this story and the multiple POVs might be the reasoning why. I’ve lost count at how many there are so far.

Chapter two is a tear jerker!

Lovely story so far, but is in desperate need for an editor.

Someone needs to count the number of “fuck” s in this book. I’m highly curious.

Well, I’ll give her this. Ms Cass sure knows how to write a spoiled, snotty brat. This character definitely has the ability to grow within this book. I hope.

This indecisiveness is driving me absolutely insane. I would smack her silly if she were standing in front of me right now.

Page 76 and I think the characters have said at most, 20 lines to each other. A lot of narrative writing in this. Hard not to skim.

and I'm fading fast. Where is the dialogue? Where is the story?

I'm trying to push through, but this book is confusing me as it DOES NOT seem as if it was written by Ms Young....the writing style is off for some reason. And the plot is extremely slow going.

Taking a break and will come back. I'm a bit surprised with this novel. It doesn't sound like Jen's normal style.
