Regarding the tyranny of merit: let us begin by noting that philosophy is about dialogue—debating our ideas, challenging our way of thinking, understanding the underlying context of our lives, and pursuing critical reflection. The tyranny lies in the meritocratic arrogance of the winners—the belief that their merit is solely of their own making; this is a mistake.

The Order of the World, which is a disordered heaven, a guide to current times—is a book written in 2020 and read six years later; it is contemporary, visionary, and reflects the mindset of humanity. Its essential reading for uncertain times marked by radical changes and an extraordinary, polarized, and lethal future. I am grateful to have discovered, a society like the Kurds.
