She seems to have forgotten Zoe is missing.

Quite a ways in for their first meeting. I really like there there is much more world and character building.

This, so far, is the most annoying part of the book. He doesn’t know what breasts on a human are but somehow, under all of the fabric he just observed he can tell there a 2 “protrusions”? And that they’re round? Highly unlikely. And without knowing anything about human, other than he believes these 2 to be children, with boy sounding voice, he’s getting an erection?

So far I’m enjoying this. The set up is good and I’m intrigued but the characters.

Taking a break from this book. The writing isn’t as poorly done as some of the other books in this series but I’m not enjoying the store or the hero much.

How could 30 knives with their own individual slot fit into only 24 inches of space? Also perfectly straight handles don’t sound like they’d be very practical knives to fight with.

On a reread of that passage the 30 knives appears to be on only one side of the drawer. So 30 knives in 12 inches?!

It’s continuity issues like this that drive me bonkers about this author’s writing.

Lucy seems to be one of the smartest and most independent heroine we’ve met in this series recently.

So far I like this FMC.

It’s been awhile since I’ve read a HR that was written 10+ years ago, and it’s good. They were just written different. Better. Less modern. Rogues are actual rogues.

It’s been awhile since I’ve read a book that started wildly fun like this. Too many contemporary HR have too much of a modern feel to them. So, though, the set up and initial meet cute are highly improbable, it feels more real in the setting.

Intriguing opening scene.

I think the author has good ideas but poor execution when writing characters.

In the beginning of the book he claims to have never seen a female human, however in the previous book his cousin’s mate comes to stay with him, who is a female human.

Reread
