Timeline note: they’ve been at the beach for 5 years.

I feel like the books in this series are being released too far apart. There are details in this book referencing back pretty far and I don’t remember enough from when I read the other books.
It seems like a reread of Flor’s Fiasco is maybe needed before reading this book.
It’s kind of disappointing that I’m not able to just get sucked into this book.

At this point in the book he knows enough English to stop speaking in third person and use “I” or “we” ect., and get Dixon is still writing him very innocently, and not in a good way.
I don’t even want to read the sex scenes, they feel inappropriate in a way.

Murh is written with BSY (born sexy yesterday) vibes and it’s kind of icky, we typically see BSY with female characters in books or movies, we don’t typically see it with male characters. I don’t find the infantilization of romance characters sexy. Make it female. So I’m kind of disappointed in this.

Ok reading a bit more. A know a lot of people DNF this book, but I’m determined to finish it.

I’m enjoying this, i just need to make myself sit down and read it.

95 pages in and I don’t feel like much has happened. Also, this us the second book and I still don’t have a good feel for this world/planet.

It started out interesting but not much is happening, I’m it really enjoying the world building,it’s too shallow. I need something other than physical attraction between them.

For being about a quarter of the way into the book not much has happened yet.

I keep falling asleep when I try to read this. Must go to bed earlier so i can read before falling asleep.

I wish she was older, I don’t love New Adult.

Getting a little steamy finally.

It’s been awhile since I’ve read in this book, but it’s a light funny read and perfect for my insomnia since I’m not following a story.

So far I’m enjoying it. So glad I was able to find a good deal on the physical book too. (I try not to buy physical books, or other products, on Amazon, so I was happy to find alternatives for this particular book.)

I didn’t remember that Wrath and Marissa were technically hellren and shellen.
Also it’s been a year or two since I read a few of the most recent books, but I donor remember Wrath or other vampires using their minds to do things like lock door or usher cats into bathrooms. Did Ward stop writing that aspect of the world building?

I did not pick up on the alluding to Phury’s addiction right here the first time I read the book.
