Before she caan reply the person rings off.

One of her Brighton Mysteries. Ted English a magician is convinced he will be convicted of murdering his assistant Cherry when she is found dead in her boarding house. Max Memphisto a fellow magician agrees to help hos friend. Cherry's parents have also asked private detectives to investigate the case.

Although I recognise some of the characters in the book as genuine, others I presume are 'made up', and as a whole the basis of the story is from an historical background..

Although I recognise some of the historical characters in the book, some of them are totally unknown to me. I presume the book has the basic truth as its background.

This book shows a new perspective of the Tudors for me, although the War of the Roses is well known to me.
