I like the premise of the book, but its a bit to YA for me.

Theres a lot of plot holes that just don't make sense. If i am an assassin on a job and I have a perfect shot... I'm gonna take it.

Regardless of loopholes, I am not keeping an insolent enemy alive to force marriage on either.

I want to continue reading this but the plot just doesn't make sense. I had a feeling it would be hard to read a book after poet empress which left me speechless.

This book is sooooo good I already know I am giving it 5 stars. The characters are so complex, and its not easy to guess the twists and turns. What a magnificent debut novel. I understand now the praise everyone has given this novel.

OMG THIS IS SO GOOD!

I am realizing I am just not into romantasy. I love fantasy and don't mind romance being incorporated into it, but I need books to have a strong plot/story. This just isn't it to me. Which is sad because I did like the first series she published. But I am also older, and have outgrown plotless, or plotlight romance books.

I went back to relisten from the beginning because I wasn't fully paying attention and I like this much more the second listen.
