What in the world is this liberal, progressive BS doing in a mafia book?!? I read these books for enjoyment, not to be lectured on my political views and be forced to endure someone’s TDS.

I’ve loved every one of the Five Points and Camorra books. The writing and storylines have all been fantastic and have sucked me in to wanting more. This one though? It’s different in every way…and not in a good way.

Loved the H, but couldn’t stand Siena in this one. Hoping the Skull King does better without trying to emasculate their alpha male.

I’m really starting to hate the h.

Meh…I usually love this author’s books but this one is just missing the mark.

Arson is my new favorite, hands down! And that’s a big statement to make!

There is no way this many direct threats are allowed to live in the mafia world. I can’t tell if the H is incompetent or a wuss.

This book is incredibly slow for me and a little difficult to follow why the H wants the h so much. Hope it picks up a bit!

I love Kian, but absolutely hate Renata. He deserves so much better than her for his story. Wish he would just kill her and find someone else!

OMG-there is a bonus novella at the end?!? And, it’s with one of my née favorite authors as a collaboration? Weekend just made!!!

Wait, what?!? Talk about lightening speed for a book that moved pretty slow over 400+ pages. I like the ending, but too abrupt. It somewhat casts a shadow on the rest of the book for me.

Oooh, the Prologue and 1st Chapter sucked me right in! A new author for me and I can’t wait!!!

The h is so wishy washy, judgmental and insecure, it’s getting in the way of the actual story. Without all of that, the book could have been halved.

I’m really hoping these get better. While the story was fine, I don’t see how it can be called a mafia book, let alone a dark Russian Mafiya book. The H seems weak and too amenable for someone who’s just kidnapped a girl and then t h wants to immediately be on his team? I’ve read a lot of this genre and this one just doesn’t seem to fit.
