Okay, so I’m not done with this yet, but I totally get why people are obsessed with Laurie Colwin. She’s so witty and funny and cool. This book, which I randomly found in a Little Free Library is supposedly her “worst,” but it’s fucking great! I am going to read everything she’s written.

Not sure if I cam stomach a book about Rich People Problems, but let’s give it a whirl.

Well, no surprise here, but Anthony Kiedis is an absolute turd.

Oh damn, this is about to get really sad.

I dunno man, this book is kind of annoying.

This book is wonderful & just what I needed.

Damn, on one hand, I’m sad to have nearly finished this book in a single weekend. On the other: I don’t think it’s possible for me to engage with a Sally Rooney book any other way.

Wowowow this book is sad. About 10 pages to go and it’s just devastating.

Straight up too depressing for me to read right now, made even more so by the fact that this book is so compulsively readable. Raven Leilani is a super talented writer, but damn if I don’t hate to read a book where the protagonist hates herself. I hope to pick this back up again the future.

The plot similarities between this and Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead are staggering: an eccentric old woman living in the woods obsessed with a mysterious murder? And animals and William Blake?? Wtf! I love Ottessa Moshfegh, but I dare say Olga Tocarczuk's book was better.
