No! Students do NOT get rides home from teachers! That is a very basic school policy in probably every school in the US. A teacher could get fired for that alone. This book is a page turner for sure, but all the mystery surrounding Addie and Mr. Tuttle is hard to get excited about because literally he could have been fired solely for giving Addie a ride home from school, even without any other hint of impropriety.

Phoebe always finishes a book? Didn’t she just get done telling us how she didn’t read half the books in grad school? Because there was no wedding or because the mom died or something?

“Inside the room, Phoebe locks the door. She is satisfied by the sharp, metallic sound.” OMG I really want to like this book. I’m reading it for book club and I have been the Debbie Downer of the group. I haven’t liked most of what we read. But as much as I want to like this, I just can’t! This book is drier than a saltine cracker in the Sahara desert.
