I'm not sure if this book is more offensive towards the French or towards Americans. Why did I not realize that Bob Kerrey's recommendation on the back cover (the ONLY positive quote they could find) was an ominous sign?? I was suckered in by the comparison to Preston Sturges on the book jacket. Sad work from the author of The Assassination of Jesse James.
