This is confusing and i have a lot of questions.

I was super into these when i first started but now i can’t stand most of the characters so.. :/ i know it means i have something to *learn* from them but im trying to read for FUN goshdangit!!! Sigh

Found this at one of the free little libraries around town and picked it up because i absolutely ADORED Hannah’s “The Women”. This pales in comparison so far but i’m sticking with it because i’m a trooper™️

I had to go to the library today to return a bunch of books. I told myself I wouldn’t take anything else out but on my way out I saw there was a display on female musicians. How could I resist?! So here we are

Right, so- several weeks ago i had a dream in which i was searching for a Rumi book. The next morning I had my usual Tuesday appointment with my therapist (bless 🙌🏻) and SHE BROUGHT UP RUMI. Specifically his poem “The Guesthouse” (iykyk). Soo obviously I had to go to the library and look for some Rumi!! I came away with this book and it doesn’t have The Guesthouse lolol so it’s slow going so far.

My mom picked this up at the library so i started reading it and only just now realized it is book number SIX of a SERIES of books.. Not that it seems to matter much contextually.. but it matters to ME, tyvm. Ugh!

Ok maybe i need to slow down on this series because i’m getting tired of Will Trent’s constant pity parties

Made it to the library today!! I’d say that this series is my vice but it’s technically about a murder squad soo..

What a trip! What a time to be alive (as a white man living in the bay area, that is)

I am taking my time with this one, and savoring each essay.

It’s worth noting that I am often overwhelmed by the marvels of birds and by how much they mean to me. Therefore, reading each author’s experience of/with birding feels intimate. It’s emotional. Spacing out these essays is a form of self-care. Go me! My therapist would be so proud.

It was time for an emotional support murder mystery. Tysm
