This has to be one of the dullest books I have ever read. For a Super Event, there's no tension or anxiety that I feel for the people. Kelly the geologist leaves her friends behind!! Come on that would never happen. I can't believe any editor would let this story pass. It is so full of clichés that I want to gag. I will finish it but only to say, yes, it was ALL as bad as the beginning.

I jumped from Chapter 5 to Chapter 20 because it was so boring. Author spoke about all the "things" the family was acquiring. Didn't need 19 chapters to do that. It is now becoming infinitely more interesting.
