The introduction almost made me cringe, but the first proper story had me in tears, so thus far it's on the winning side.

SShannon does a good job of anchoring (heh) the world in real places in Europe, but it's still weirdly fascinating to see random Swedish places I recognize being namedropped.

The most irritating part of most romance novels is when the author pretends abortion doesn't exist. Girl.

All this talk about freeing yourself from the capitalist system as a warning sign of Bad People and I'm just like. Well it sounds good to me!

Finished Matt de la Peña's delightful novella, and it's great to see I'm still having a lot of fun with this book!

So far, so intrigued!

I'm obsessed with Michelle's writing style. The way she jumps between personal anecdotes, explanations about what the detectives and police force were doing, and tales about the victims. Especially the way she centers the victims without it feeling exploitative is beautiful.

The two smartest people in the book finally met!

Three months in but only a fourth into the story. However! Dracula has now landed in England, snd the pace will pick up!
