Mark tends to grow on me, I guess that is kind of the point.

Not in the best headspace at the mo so I'm revisiting an old friend.

So far the story is intriguing but we haven't gotten any hint of an actual mystery. I'm glad that it is interesting enough to continue, normally I'd be annoyed that the mystery hasn't shown up yet.

We'll see how this goes. I'm kind of bored already so I might have to give up on this one, but I'll give it a bit more time.

This is absolutely hilarious while at the same time making me super angry. It is good.

I'm finding it very hard to not be so annoyed with the two mains and the plot itself. It seems that there is an urgency based on events that the two mains do not share and they are both coming across as extremely lacking in common sense and self preservation.

I've only just started but there is a huge amount of telling and not showing. I'm allowing it for now as setting the background but if it goes on too long I'll have to move on.

Nope. I tried. Sorry I got bored before I even got to any story and there were so many characters there is no telling who is the main and I cared about none of them. Moving on.

A little too splainey and infodumpy but not bad.

Well, even after giving the first book a 2 star review, the concept and cover art drew me back in so I attempted this second book. The main is still unlikable (though not nearly as much as in the first book, she's just brusque and unapologetic instead of being mean spirited and selfish) and the story seems good but there was too much added for salacious 'gotcha' moments by the author, not needed as part of the story.

Not fond of the characters introduced so far. This might be a deal breaker. I'll give it another chapter or two.

This one isn't grabbing me. Too little action going on, for too long. Some action is happening now but unless it is really gripping, I'll probably leave this one.

Ok, while this is funny, I don't recall noticing how rude and annoying some of his comments are about other people the first time around. I think once this one is over I won't be re-reading any of his others. I don't need mean comments in my life.

I've paused this one. The POV is throwing me out of the story too often which leads me to believe that the story isn't engaging enough for me to continue through the POV. I'll try again later.

Well. This book is turning out to be much more full of graphic romantic interactions than I expected after reading the first book. I don't recall that one having this type of onscreen... er... activities. Not a complaint but some people might not expect it and be put off. Just a note.

Hm. Not getting engaged here. I'll give it a bit more and see what happens. The giant, glaring plot hole is hampering things though - even though the text talks about it, it is never really closed. We will see.
