Dolarhyde's backstory is intriguing and so well written. I hope there's more to be revealed as the book progresses. I'm still finding pretty much every Crawford appearance slows the plot down, which is a shame as the book is so close to perfect.

I'm going to need some more serial killer novels to add to the Kendall Reviews TBR Pile of Doom.

Any recommendations?

This book is so good and only let down by the passages mostly featuring Crawford where the pace falters.

No spoilers, but the scene involving a wheelchair was beyond brutal. Simply, yet brilliantly written.

The reveal of the message Lector sent actually made me gasp.

I'm kicking myself for not reading this sooner.

This is still scratching the Xenomorph itch without reinventing the wheel. It's an enjoyable read, but I've noticed if you had a shot every time shadow(s) are mentioned, you'd be absolutely trollied.

So far, it's a fast-paced, punchy read. Minimal technobabble and treats the reader with respect regarding previous lore. (I'll let the 'game over' comment slide). I could do without the 'horniness', to be honest, but I guess being stuck in space for so long things are going to stir. I'm not sure I'd be up for it after seeing a load of my crew decimated by alien lifeforms, but whatever floats your boat.
