WTF! What a revelation! First off, we have Pete's childhood friend Brian Nehring turns into a new villain called Spore. Then, Kintsugi turns out to be Pete's boss Dr. Osmani-Milton's son. And last, but not the least, we discover that Aunt May and Uncle Ben have a son after all these years! How is this possible???. 😬

And so Brian Nehring, Peter's old friend has become the new villain called Spore. 😬

Spidey finally gets the time to ruminate the recent events in his life now that Death Spiral story arc has concluded. Just in there, Soidey.

Peter talks to MJ and Venom after ) Paul Rabin's burial. Life goes on. Later, MJ & Venom embrace their partnership as they support a red-headed and feminine Venom new look...

So Fred Myers, aka the Boomerang, stumbles upon a Venom-like symbiote head labeled as Passenger. They bond & have adventures together. I was confused there for a minute. I thought this was the same Spidey/Venom suit MJ-Venom cooked up. Anyway, this Passenger symbiote assembles a ragtag group of super enhanced guys that included Hawkeye to take on Tombstone. Later Wanda & the Sorcerer Supremes come after Passenger.

Spidey defeats the potential invaders by Evangeline sacrificing her life. MJ gives Peter some space to figure out their feelings towards each other. No wonder this series is called Torn. Peter is torn between two lovers. 😬

Evangeline the demon has a change of heart after discovering her master's intention of destroying Earth. They both consult the German professor about the magical book that created her. Spidey' s blood on the book activated a portal for more monsters to enter our world.

Peter, MJ, Gwen & Harry love quadrangle begins in ernest. 😬 Evangeline the demon navigates the demon world she finds herself in.

Peter and MJ level up their relationship into exclusive dating. Later, the demon Evangeline attacks them. Spidey discreetly appears..

This is an early adventure around ASM #50, during Peter's high school where he mingles with Harry, Gwen and MJ. Plus he encounters a book thief who is inadvertently turned into a winged demon...

Melinda got distracted with Muse's arrival and he kills her. He then proceeds to torture Eddie. Carnage attempts to bond with Muse but rejects him. And so Eddie is forced to bond again with Carnage to defeat Muse. Later, Carnage discovers Spider-man's secret identity from Eddie's subconscious. 😬 Then we proceed to Death Spiral.

Eddie/Carnage has been taken captive by Melina who used to be a symbiote host. Eddie recognized her from his brief time as the King in Black. He finds out that her symbiote sacrificed itself for her freedom by ingesting a serum they had concocted. Eddie realizes this is his chance to be rid of Carnage who begs him not to pursue it. The 1st dosage have been injected. They are interrupted by the arrival of Muse.

Rapid and Spidey team up. Then a little perspective before the Goblin attack Spider-Goblin.

Torment was such aa effective Spidey/ Venom & Carnage super villain that Marvel had to hastily spin his secret origin. On a flashback, we have a glimpse of his first kill which set off his spiral family killing sprees. He may have been thrown off the building by Venom and splattered on the ground below, it sure looks like we haven't seen the last of him, at least his mantle would apparently be passed to his sister.

Aww, shucks. Now, Carnage bonds with Spidey this time! 😆

We get glimpses that Torment isn't compatible with Carnage as much as Eddie was his host. Spidey was able to stop their fisrt murder together this time. Torment/ Carnage are now out for Aunt May next... 😬

As always, Ed McGuinness' art is beautiful! Carnage & Torment start to do a number on Spidey & Venom, but Eddie wakes up & control of Carnage is restored. Meanwhile, Miles chats with Norman Osborn. MJ calls on Flash/Anti-Venom to ask to protect Aunts May & May. But then, Torment really heads for Dylan instead.

Eddie arrives too late to save his dad from the hands of Torment. Now, he & Carnage have a perfect reason to murder this Torment dude. Torment manages to get away. Later, when Spidey & Venom catches up with Carnage & a team up against Torment is possible. However, Carnage incapacitates Eddie, thus Carnage turns on Spidey & Venom!

Venom & Spidey barge into Eddie/Carnage, who is on his way to Carl's house. After a brief brawl, Eddie gets away from them only to discover that Torment has already murdered his dad.

Eddie/Carnage sees the "Carnage Ruled" blood scrawl done by Torment in a picture in a Daily Bugle headline. He figures out that Torment's next target is Eddie's dad, Carl Brock. Venom takes Spidey to the Bar with no Name. There, they talk with Tombstone, who thinks Carnage killed Shocker & stole his gauntlet & that the next target is Venom!

Venom & Masque in a battle armor engage in fisticuffs. Venom somehow managed to get the upper hand & defeat Masque. She escapes by teleportation. It is also revealed that the A.I.M. top brass who Masque supposedly blew up are alive after all by teleporting themselves. They convene & reason that Masque's recent actions will be her undoing, since the superheroes will come after her as we enter the Death Spiral storyarc

Madame Masque has been planting bombs & eliminating her competitors in the A.I.M. hierarchy. Now she is at the top. She even has a bug shrunk by Pym particles & planted inside MJ's lung to know her every move. What's this Flash Thompson hitting on MJ? It has already cringy with Paul Rabin as it is. Anyway, MJ Venom tracks Masque's location and confronts her. Masque now wears a battle armor as big as Venom himself!

For the 252nd Venom issue, Marvel pays tribute to ASM #252 where Spidey debuts his black suit. And so MJ/ Venom supports a Spidey suit this time. Venom and Toxin gets entangled with Dr. Octopus. Then Anti-Venom and Mayor Luke Cage arrive to rectify the situation. Later, Madame Masque placates Doc Ock. There two other tales in this issue .

MJ/ Venom wear an Ironman disguise (Iron Venom) as they run after the Blue Steak on roller skates. Then Doc Ock and S.C.A.R. appear. Toxin/ Rick Jones also appear on the scene. As Octavius captures Toxin, Venom emerges supporting a Spidey suit! 😲

This double-sized issue is just prolonged that it beccame long-winded. MJ/Venom misses the Skull captain's recorded warning of Knull's looming arrival on Earth after containing his ship crash lands in NY interrupting their skirmish with Madame Masque. But Knull has been taken prisoner of Hela, who is vying to be the Queen in Black!
This will continue on Knull's own comic series. (Imagine that.) 😲

OK, Peter discovers MJ is now Venom's host. He doesn't know Eddie is Carnage's host. This Torment serial killer just killed the Shocker. I suspect he is Cletus!

We just need a team up of Spidey with MJ Venom and Eddie Brock Carnage before they revert back to their normal identies. 😆
There is a new serial killer in town -- Torment!

Peter is finally back home. There is the compulsory reunion with Ben Reilly and Aunt May, of course, who readily welcomed him after being inexplicably away for so long.
