Decided to dnf at page 103. Don't feel motivated to continue. Find myself questioning it too much and don't have time to investigate it further. May go back to it.

I've lost momentum on this, dnf at page 103

Decided to DNF on page 69. It's moving a little slowly for me at the moment, it needs to be returned to the library and it didn't make the 2026 MF shortlist, so I'm not persisting. As another friend who read it said "Life is too short to read what you are not loving" Well written, I'm just not connected to the story nor the characters.

I read this 4 years ago, wanted to see if the audiobook was as good. So far, so good....

I adore her work and could listen to her diaries over and over. Deserves all the awards.

It's a bit of an uncomfortable relentless pace, I guess it's in keeping with the discomfort of the main character.

The audiobook read by Meryl Streep....couldn't resist listening to it straight away! So it jumped my audiobook queue

Loving this, so many writers discussed.

Waiting on my friend Ed to catchup with our buddy read. Happy to take it slow.

Thoroughly sad tales of abuse. Currently going through the chapter of the crack addicted daughter. This character was born in the same year as me and yet her life sounds like something out of the 1950s. Different countries , different cultures but it's sitting awkwardly for me. Maybe all tales of abuse feel like they are from a more backward age?

Throughly enjoying rereading Juice on audiobook

started yesterday, hope to get to page 104 during the next couple of days.

I've been more interested in other reading. Will have to return to the library and pick up again another time. And/Or maybe try the audiobook.

Can really see how Rebecca by Daphe de Maurier was modelled on this novel.

This is a series of Tanka poems, to and fro, between these two Australian poets over the period of a year, month by month.
I've decided to read and contemplate the the collection over the year.
I've enjoyed reading the intro and January. I'll pick it up again in Feb... and so on....
