Loving it so far

I'm having a hard time getting through this book. It is so slow and long and I feel not much has happened. I keep waiting for humans to meet the spiders, I don't really care about anything else and I don't connect with any of the characters.

I don't understand anything (40% in!) and after a few months of not being able to pick it up, trying to read it again, I'm finally giving up and going on to books I actually enjoy reading.

It has gotten to the point where I can't stand Keisha. She's never happy and always has a grudge against Charlotte even though she has been nothing but nice to her. She's hateful and resentful and I don't buy the cliche character of the angry girl. Even people with hard lives can smile and appreciate others. Everyone lives with what they have. Here it's like she's always wishing she was elsewhere and it's getting old

I really liked this book till about 40% (reading on Kindle). I couldn't put it down. But then once Charlette and Keisha got together, nothing happens and it just gets boring, I'm just reading to get to the end but I'm not interested anymore. A thousand debates whether or not to call the police. Get on with the story! And the romance with the policeman and Singapore is so un-believable...

Frustrating to read, instead of telling us how he feels about the amazing experiences he had, describes the bunch of questions he asked Don Juan (ending with Don Juan each time) which are almost never answered to satisfaction. Long boring descriptions of the steps to make the drugs. The only interesting parts are the psychedelic experiences. The author mentions he feels pain and fear but right after it is ignored

The background story is way too long with too many mundane details. If it wasn't for the intriguing prologue, I would give it up.

Eye rolling... nobody who works for a top secret agency really talks like this

I'm loving the ideas in this book. I don't like the main character so much, he somehow doesn't seem smart as a detective should be. Why are the haters called the originals?

woah... unexpected and good

Ok so she's out... be careful what you wish for :) This story has turned very dark and I'm looking forward to finding out how it ends. I'm not mad about the writing, but I'm intrigued.

I'm not enjoying reading about torture... I'm only at 30% of this book, I'm really hoping they find her or something else happens before 50% because I'm not going to read a book that describes bodily torture for much longer. Not thrilled, just want it to end.

The amount of detail about every sentence uttered annoys me. It's well written and I want to know what happens, but can we get on with it? I get it that the detective is being tested by Conway. do we have to hear about it after every sentence, in every facial expression or thought?
