So far it reminds me of some strange combination of Flatland (1884) and Pluribus (2025) the TV series

Loving this so far! Really love the premise, the magic, and Alice as our main character.

I'm having a great time, this plot is so much fun. mayhaps my book slump is over! It honestly reminds me a little of Up, but Carl is even sadder and more depressed

Progress would go faster if I didn't have to stop every 2 pages and sigh inwardly and outwardly at the brainlessness of our main character.

The writing is so *bland*. For example, "she watched as the number of comments and likes increased. It made her feel happy". I promise you I didn't need this told to me with the subtlety of a hammer on a brick wall.

Might be the best of the series yet!

This is manipulation/guilt-tripping in book form and I'm *so* uncomfortable

That's it. I'm going to murder him. This line makes me see red

I'm a big fan of Boone. His tendency to browse libraries and book stores is 10/10. I was definitely expecting a very different book when I got this but I'm not complaining at all

This man's head is just so empty. Just an empty cavern of nothingness. What must it be like to have no thoughts like this

Someone dies. This is so boring

I honestly am wondering if someone else wrote this book. Or maybe I was temporarily insane while reading the first book. Because besides their characters they have NOTHING in common. The prose is gone. My love for the characters is Also gone. How did this sequel turn out so much worse than the original?? It has so much promise too
