As a number of other reviewers noted this was a fascinating read. I could not put the book down each night. So many books I never finish but this one kept my interest so it was very easy to finish it. I hated to say goodbye to the characters - love them all, even the alters. I'm still I'm not sure I totally understand how it all works but I know much more than I did going in thanks to this author.

DNF - I tried, I really tried (even a second time). Just couldn't get into the two MCs. As one reviewer aptly put it - there was just too much overthinking on the MCs part. I loved the subject matter but not in this book. I seem to have this problem with LA Witt's books - and I'm always buying them but never finishing. Oh well, some authors you get and some you don't.

DNF - I wanted to like this story but everything was portrayed as black or white - no gray areas. In that, bad guys were BAD, good guys OH SO GOOD with everything spelled out. I rather have "villains" painted with much broader strokes with some evidence of other qualities - if they had none then they would hardly be getting another boyfriend or friends. So I gave up because it didn't seem to change.

So far GREAT story. I'm so glad this is the first of several (?) in this series because I want to get to know Dan and Nick (and all the other great characters) in this book.

Now this is a book I'm really enjoying. I've even laughed out loud a few times. These are the characters I'm always looking for in books and ZA Maxfield does them beautifully. I'm not done yet...don't want to finish...but I'm sure I'll enjoy all of it. So refreshing to read a really good book.

Loved the beginning but I'm floundering in the middle - I gave it up for a while.

Not enjoying this one very much and I usually like this author.

Been interrupted too many times on this audio book. Will be while till I get back to it.
