I am going to try to read this now against my better judgment. Wish me luck

I do not remember any of this book, except the vibe. So rereading it is fun

Hmm.

the first quarter of this was not helpful for my depression. I have some thoughts but they’re spoilers

I have been told this gets funny and lighter and I’m curious how the tone shift works with the beginning

I have been told this book gets lighter but holy fuck so far it is dark and sad and I was not emotionally prepared for that

this book is absolutely going to break me

Is this book going to break my heart?????

currently reading as Avery blows up her life (which is not a spoiler because the prologue says she’s gonna) and it is painful. because you know what she’s doing but she’s words on a page so you can’t pull her aside and talk some sense into her

this is cute so far and also the bits about their jobs in tech are reminding me of what it was like and it’s stressing me out 🙈

I was like “wow I’m starting our book club book so early” (I’m usually a last-minute reader for it) and then realized the meeting is Sunday 🙃

ok I am really liking this book

This woman lies a deeply uncomfortable amount

It’s most likely recency bias but this might be my fave Emily Henry book so far

Parts of this have been a bit meandering and parts have been gripping but imo the last section of this book doesn’t make sense here at all

am I reading a lot of this aloud to my pets with silly accents for the characters? absolutely yes

this is silly and fun so far and I’m having a great time

ok ok ok some of the writing style still isn’t for me and there have been a few words used that don’t mean what I think they meant but I am having a good time so 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I am struggling with the writing style on this one. I feel like it’s not always clear what’s happening. But I’m gonna keep going to see if that changes as the plot thickens

At no point in this book so far have I had any idea what’s going on

I hate this book. I’m only powering through for book club.

This book is so funny. I love this family.

Uhhh so the shark attack story at the start of chapter 1 is gonna haunt me forever and also a trigger for me it turns out (bc nobody believed her that she was dying)
