If you love Jesus, you are joined to the Lord as “ one spirit “ with him, which is the most profound kind of personal union. You are loved. You are claimed. You belong to another above. You are married at the deepest level of your being. Whatever losses and suffering you might endure in this life, you are in the marital embrace of the Son of God now and forever.

Human concepts are too small and artificial a context for the glory of our sexuality. Manhood and womenhood find their true meaning in the context of nothing less than the heavens and the earth, the cosmos, the universe, the entire creation. That is the first claim of the biblical love story.

This stood out to me in the introduction.

I had yet to learn that all human relationships end in pain— it is the price that our imperfection has allowed Satan to exact from us for the privilege of love.

The greater the love the greater the grief, and the stronger the faith the more savagely will satan storm its fortress

Amazing! I’ve cried a few times. Props words feel like hits to my heart but in a gentle way that say I understand! We in this together
