A bit repetitive and boring, and also annoying in the romance department. But I'm still intrigued to see where it's going.

This is fun so far, but also a bit repetitive.

I think I do like this a bit more than Butcher & Blackbird so far, but I also find the plot a bit confusing.

The writing isn't always working for me (and why is the author so allergic to commas?), but the book gives me mild Sally Rooney vibes, which I love!

Just like the first time I read this book, I could not care less about the Clary/Jace/Sebastian storyline. Also, how are there STILL incestuous undertones?

Very reminiscent of Truly Devious, tbh. A rich, eccentric man in the 1930s having a tragedy befall his children? Really, Johnson?
Also, Marlowe was lowkey a bit creepy in the pursue of her crush. Love that she's sapphic, but did she have to be so extreme?

The plot just went into a direction I did not expect.

Didn't read as much today as I wanted, but I really enjoyed those 20 pages! For some reason, I didn't know it was queer?

This book would be so much shorter if it would stop repeating things over and over again …

It only took 370 pages, but they're finally finished telling the story! To my delight, Moody decided to summarise everything for himself at the end of it, so I think I now understand it.
Still think there's too much, though.

Slowly getting the hang of the characters, that’s a relief! Probably helps that I’m now reading more than 1-5 pages a day in it like I did before lmao.

There are SO many characters - not surprising for a book this big, but I am definitely struggling to remember everything.
Also, aside from one, they are all men, and I am getting sick and tired of reading about how much they disrespect women.
