Just like the first time I read this book, I could not care less about the Clary/Jace/Sebastian storyline. Also, how are there STILL incestuous undertones?

Very reminiscent of Truly Devious, tbh. A rich, eccentric man in the 1930s having a tragedy befall his children? Really, Johnson?
Also, Marlowe was lowkey a bit creepy in the pursue of her crush. Love that she's sapphic, but did she have to be so extreme?

The plot just went into a direction I did not expect.

Didn't read as much today as I wanted, but I really enjoyed those 20 pages! For some reason, I didn't know it was queer?

This book would be so much shorter if it would stop repeating things over and over again …

It only took 370 pages, but they're finally finished telling the story! To my delight, Moody decided to summarise everything for himself at the end of it, so I think I now understand it.
Still think there's too much, though.

Slowly getting the hang of the characters, that’s a relief! Probably helps that I’m now reading more than 1-5 pages a day in it like I did before lmao.

There are SO many characters - not surprising for a book this big, but I am definitely struggling to remember everything.
Also, aside from one, they are all men, and I am getting sick and tired of reading about how much they disrespect women.

I am overall enjoying this, but I am not a fan of how Juliet behaves and how she never has to apologise for being such an asshole to Declan when his reasons for being angry are honestly legitimate?

Putting this aside for now until I'm finished with "Game Changer", because I'm reading this much slower than I would like

Mayhaps not the best book to read when you're mentally not feeling so hot ...

TikTok keeps showing me interviews of Connor and Hudson, and it's made me want to watch the show really badly, so I decided to finally start my re-read of this before starting Heated Rivalry. It's a bit too sex-focused too early on (there's only so many smutty scenes I can read in a row before it gets boring), but still fun!

A lot of exposition and a lot of characters. Fuck knows if I'll be able to remember everything and everyone.

Really enjoying it so far! I don't entirely understand May's anger and Shani sometimes says some questionable things, but overall, this is fun. The vibes are great.
