She can’t name the country but provides enough details that it sounds like Greece during the migrant crisis. And then provides a really specific date that lets me look up the Athens Polytechnic Uprising and confirm that it’s Greece.
She introduces their puppy and the next paragraph jumps to their grand piano with no transition.

OMG she has MS but she just “pushed through it”and kept up her work schedule and didn’t tell her kids?! If her goal is to show young women that they can “have it all” she is showing that’s only possible by being Superwoman.

This book doesn’t flow coherently. Every page or paragraph is a different snippet of the author’s memory, but they aren’t stitched together.

The author switches topics so fast, I have whiplash. She goes from saving her daughter from falling off a balcony to starting an alumni club, with zero transition.
