I still love Le Guin's writing. Very simple with a timeless quality to it.

Nice and enjoyable, reminds me of the first book I read so many years ago.

Well, at least it's awesomely gory.

I hate to say it, but I feel like all the good gut punching lines in this book are quotes from the first book. That said, the action is good and plot resolution seems fairly imminent. So I'm enjoying it, but it's not really blowing my mind or sending me into a love affair.

Thanks for the recap book... now I know where I am and it only took you a page or two.

Wooo... it's been a while since I read the last book, and we're apparently starting with one of the characters I only vaguely remember. Writing is nice so far. Not as mesmerizing as the first, but I'm not sure if that could be pulled off again, or if it's more that you can't have that experience for the first time more than once.

Thoroughly engrossing

I never do this, but I'm simply not enjoying this one. I'm having a hard time following how characters are connected. There are chapters where I feel like the author's prose is very nice, but for the life of me I don't know what he's talking about. Perhaps I don't follow the cultural references enough... I give up... time to pick a new book.

I'm intrigued but kind of struggling with the writing style. I feel like he has a very fast cadence and I'm not accustomed to reading quite that fast in my head. I spent the first 2 chapters only vaguely aware of what was going on.

Things I think will happen:
1) Someone is going to figure out how to un-still the seat (probably not in this book). 2) It will be revealed that tinkers are the the aiel that once searched for the tree of life. 3) Egwene dies before the end of this series

Why is everyone is this series so god awful stubborn? Robert Jordan must have never met an easy going person in his whole life.

First time in a while where I'm fairly well interested in all the story lines going on.

Pretty good so far. Getting a little more character development for Rand, which is nice.

Interesting so far, like the premise. Dialogue is a little clunky, and those noses... I Also wonder why the name change on the 43rd president when clearly the WMD reference was meant for GW.

I had planned on taking a longer break from the series, but the library had a copy when I was there and I couldn't help myself. Glad that he picked up the story with Min rather than characters that got more face-time in the last book.

I admit that it's been so long since I read the first two books that I've nearly forgotten all of their plots. Oddly enough this has turned out to be a non-issue. Maybe I'll read the next one less than a decade from now. Yeesh.

Matt actually might turn out to be a cool character if he'd pull his head out of his rear. I so want him to wise up and become a warder.

I have no idea why the first two times i attempted this book I just couldn't get into it. I should be reading more of the other book I'm on, but this one has become the page turner.
