Attempting to read this for my bf since he said it’s his favorite. It’s a different genre than what I’ve been reading so that’s hard for a change. And also I feel like it talks in rhymes- it’s old talk. So it’s hard to follow. Also the beginning is definitely slow- per his words and my thoughts. Hoping it gets better. Trying real hard to read it tho.

Frieda books always make me feel so anxious but definitely always better than the crap I just read before this.

I feel very anxious reading this book which is not unusual for reading a Frieda book. I’m anxious about this affair and I also think it’s a bit much. And also now what they’ve done. Like what the heck?

I like how sarcastic she is and how she jokes to herself

I’m not really caring for kingfishers new name. I mean I always thought kingfisher was a weird name but to spring a new one on us..I mean I know the purpose but still

She’s so selfish for onyx. Like yeah I get it he’s her pet and she loves him but come on man. Look at the bigger picture

I’m immersive reading this not tandem lol

I really am liking reading this as a tandem read. It helps to focus and not let my mind wander.

I listened to quicksilver on 1.75-2x speed to refresh my memory. Restarting the very little bit I had read of brimstone the other day and attempting a tandem read.
