Enjoying this a lot. An imaginative and heart felt interpretation, with excellent characterization and compelling storyline. At once a feminist retelling, a speak out against gentrification and materialism, and an exploration about what it might mean to be a mother.

For all the many criticisms that can be levelled at him, (though some tempered by acknowledgement of the man's society & milieu, others by acceptance that he was just a human being) I can't help but be moved by his spirit, his spiritual appreciation of the aesthetics of the place. Poignant in the extreme.
