I’m at 91% and I don’t know if I can finish this book. I do enjoy magical realism, but not whatever this is. Kate Quinn has been an automatic pre-order for me for years. Her historical fiction is beautiful. This is not historical fiction. This is preachy and messy and there are so many things, even with magic involved, that simply do not make sense
