the audiobook narrator is really good. there’s some pretty good turns of phrases that extend from the metaphors and im always a fan of a them/them. but the use of rly uncommon words like medical jargon is a bit much. i knew some of them and it didn’t rly bother me so far but there is more accessible language that could’ve been used & still fit w the style

ok. i’m gonna keep reading for a bit but i genuinely don’t understand how the author said the reason ppl r obsessed w cult stories is not because we have a “twisted voyeur inside us” that gets off on this shit but rather we wanna know why seemingly normal ppl join cults and on the VERY next page mentions the obsession ppl have w the shoes from heavens gate… are u for real……….

i keep comparing this to dune 1 cause of length but like. this is indeed a bit of a slog to get thru! but so was dune 1. i feel like maybe there was Something more to it that got me thru it idk. i also still have very Hard opinions on the books. I'm Also also trying to not let other reviews of "this is where the series rly gets worse" get in my head but i can see where people r coming from lmao. anyways. wyd frank h
