She told it how it is. The corruption intensified by colonialism and non Antiguans who don’t even know what the island looks like. Makes you think. A lot about your vacations - how you approach deciding where to vacation; slavery of course and modern day slavery and modern day “rubbish” as Kincaid call them.

Tourists suck. This book hits hard. She leaves no stone uncovered telling tourists to Antigua what she really thinks of them/us.
