Ok, LOVE the half and quarter stars update, but also. like. I feel like I should go back and re-rate all my books and I am just Not Going To Do That

This took a real turn and I'm not really interested in this type of book?
While I wouldn't want to be in this situation, I don't really see this as a horror, sci fi, or dystopian, which is what it was labeled as.

This is going a little slow, I'm having trouble wanting to pick it up again

I have like. 26 books on my "I really was hoping to read this this year" TBR do we think i can do it

grits: sugar or salt?
Yes, salt is the correct answer and I am glad Shar and I are on the same page

It’s so nice to read a protagonist EXACTLY my age so I get all the references

Me choosing a book and for the first 20%: oh no I will never read again, this will be the book that causes a book slump, should I try another instead, maybe this was a bad idea
(Takes me days)

From finally being hooked to end: love this so great, reading is amazing
(Takes roughly 40 min)

oh my god, the kerning... I reread "cuff face" so many times before turning the page and realizing it was "cliff face"

I'm so intrigued where volume 1 is going to choose to end

I went to high school in Norristown

Aw, Storybook Land

I feel similar about the Ben Franklin. And the Walt Whitman. And Betsy Ross. A little better about the Tacony-Palmyra.

The first line... "A few years back ... I volunteered for a research study at the University of Pennsylvania"

Yeah, me too, bitch youre not special

lol

My kindle blipped and I thought I would need to factory reset and I genuinely was heartbroken thinking about all my now-archived netgalley books

also may have panic bought a new one even as I may have tentatively fixed this one for at least a bit?

Gotta laugh at "craving raw meat" so often being a shorthand for "something's wrong with this baby!" because when I was pregnant with Gwen, all I wanted was raw red meat

I think I’m going to have to read what some other people have to say about this book in order to get some insight

I didn't really read as many books for Good For Her summer as I thought I would (Dungeon Crawler Carl took up a lot of it), by my loosey goosey count it's like 9 or 10.
Well, I'm moving on to spooky season now although of course I still love my female revenge fantasies

If I have this all figured out now, I'm gonna be kind of mad

No, Tess definitely knows about Spiders Georg

Going on vacation soon where there's two small bookstores I like to patronize. The trick is finding a book
-I want to own
-Big enough that a small bookstore carries it
-I don't already have! Especially on Netgalley

I think I could have had more patience with this book if I had truly gone into it as a serious of essays about a cast of characters. I had to look at the table of contents to see when the murder happens and I'm still like. five chapters away.

Audio isn't helping either, even though the narrator is great. I can't go a little faster and get the ghist

The problem with Good For Her summer is that you need to read a lot about the women being hurt and pushed around before you ever get to the revenge or in this case, the eating of eyes

I hate George so much and Geoffrey even more.

oh no I'm going to catch up to my husband soon and we will have to share the next book

I'm trying to read another book for Good For Her summer, especially as I was craving another horror novel but I also just want to keep reading Carl

the netgalley approvals hath blessed mine house today

So nice to get so much Lucretia. She's my favorite. I need to do a full relisten

Oh oops I never read Story and Song? I thought I got a review copy. Oh well, it's not like I don't know the story

The direct quotes from Addams Family movies is getting old. I know it's supposed to be cute but I'm not feeling it
