I have come to the point where we get to read main character Paul Sheldon’s manuscript for Misery Returns, and boy oh boy do I love the typewriter font (with the hand written esque font exclusively reserved for the letter n (iykyk)) that distinguishes these portions of text from the rest of the novel! An absolute bummer that this publisher did not include a Note on the Type at the end of this book!

As a grad student (whom on innumerable occasions feels as if I have descended into
one of the circles of hell) I can confidently say I am the #1 target audience for this book.

So 20 pages in and I’m feeling like this may turn out to be one of my new favourite books

currently sorting through some lit to lend to josh since red white and royal blue has kickstarted his reading phase. very excited to have another reader friend I’ve coerced into getting a goodreads. get excited for all my updates to be the books I read as a baby gay when I desperate for representation!
