Very interesting, attention grabbing

Really enjoying the read. Fun to learn about animals and how the principles of physics are applied in their lives.

Very interesting perspective on the war in Afghanistan. Often points out how unprepared we are to be there. Not just the soldiers on the ground but our policies don't seem to be based on a strong understanding of the people and their culture.

This book continues to hold my attention and I'm learning new things every few pages. The last chapter was on dreams. I have read quite a bit on dreams a their meaning but here I learned how important dreams are for learning and problem solving. It really makes me worry about people who brag about getting only a few hours of sleep a night. Especially those in positions of power or important decision making.

Excellent, very well written, enjoyable to read. Unfortunately I am seeing the evidence of sleep deprivation all around me, in the news, in the presidential campaign, etc.

Good read, amazing 63 year old women who volunteers tone a spy for the CIA. Working as a currier, to pick up a book in Mexico, ends up being kidnapped and taken to Albania as a prisoner

Interesting how the story bounces between Robinette talking to his shrink, Sigfrid, in the present and the story that got him here in the past.

Great, really enjoying it. Much more to it than the movie.

Wonderful. I really enjoy her writing style. Even after majoring in biology focusing on botany I am learning lots of interesting things about the mysterious life of plants.

It's ok. Seems like one of those books where the author was paid by the page to write the book - long winded descriptions.

On its way back to the library. Author is a very interesting writer - makes the things that we take for granted in our-made world fascinating. Favorite so far are chocolate and aerogels.

Reading about how inflation led to the Big Bang. Very interesting. Book is back at the library. I will have to reserve and check it out again.

Finished. It's funny, for each of these books as I started reading them, I was kind of disappointed but as I got over half way through I started liking the book more and more.

Just finished Reading A Girl, a Gold Watch and Everything. What a fun book. I especially enjoyed the last third - story got exciting and took some fun twists. Now on to Ballroom of the Skies. I like that title.

I am about two thirds of the way through A Girl, a Gold Watch and Everything. I found the first half of the book slow moving, though similar to a Travis McGee buildup. I find his descriptions of being in "red time" very interesting and a real attempt to address the physics involved.

A friend recommended A Girl, a Gold Watch and Everything. I found this at the library, and thought three for one was a good deal. I started with Wine of the Dreamers and really enjoyed it. Defiantly old school science fiction. I liked it though found it quite a departure from the Travis McGee books I've read.

I am enjoying Billy Collins poetry. I find it easy to relate to. It is like he is talking directly to me when I read his poems.

Started yesterday. Wonderful, fun to read book. The first two chapters really made me think about how our schools are failing to teach critical thinking skills.

A real eye opener into how serious climate change is. It really infuriates me that our elected officials have chosen to ignore this pending crises.

Started this a while back and just picked it up again. Interesting look at Seattle early in WW II, and in the late 1980s.

Another great Richard Bach tale. Travels with Puff is reminiscent of Biplane. So far Bach is getting to know Puff, his new to him, Searay light sport amphibian. His descriptions make me want to move to Florida and get my own Searay

Just getting started. Actually, Carl Hiassen's introduction was quite good. Gave me more insights into Travis McGee.

Very enjoyable stories by early aviators, Orville Wright, Charles Lindbergh, Beryl Markham, and now Amelia Earhart. Though I have read quite a bit by and about each author/pilot each story is providing new insights.

Time to take it back to the library. Don't know if I will check it out again or not.
