I was not expecting this to be my first DNF but here we are.

This might be beautiful but the beauty is locked behind so many layers of decoration that by the time you reach it, you’re too exhausted to care. Every thought stretched into another meditation on existence, the novel feels less profound and more afraid of simply saying anything. The layers also camouflage the fact that it has very little going for it.

Progressing 1% on a Stormlight book takes forever. I read the first three in the series with physical books the last two have been on Kindle, the physical bricks were motivating when the page bulk on the rightside keep reducing but there's no such motivator with the Kindle.
