Maybe the author forgot that detail but everything revealed since only confirms that it was stated before.
I as a reader couldn't know what Tamlin did with the wings unless he'd said

He told her about the wings.
He just hadn't mentioned he'd been there when they were killed.
That was why she was so disdainful of him Under The Mountain.
It's exactly the same story too
From two different perspectives.
Why did the author try to convince me that Tamlin didn't tell her, that she'd never heard?

The fact that his mom and dad never noticed really shows that they never showed him the appropriate amount of attention.
How did they never notice that he only had problem with math centric classes?
They seem to just want to label him a problem child and get rid of him

This story makes humans seem....stupid. The author over-explains and though I know that the story was meant to be compelling, (and this is going to be odd coming from me) it feels too dry and compelling. The author tries to show, not tell but it feels like TELLING the entire time. Too many dead end conflicts and tangents that... Did they need to be there?

The entire scene with Martin felt contrived and....as much as I hate to say it, it was ENTIRELY Nana's fault. She made the boys the issue but if she wanted to live her life why didn't she just TELL THEM?

Am I the only one who thought that the opening sequence was straight out of Sound of Music?

It was implied in a previous book that the band had never heard Rye call Brenna Berry before but now it is insinuating that they had, right at the start of their fame. This story seems to contradict some things that it is supposed to build on.

I'm confused.
How could Brenna grow up with nothing? The James side of Killian's family is the wealthy side. His mother gained wealth modeling but it was implied that his dad came from money. Brenna is a James...this doesn't compute
