This story makes humans seem....stupid. The author over-explains and though I know that the story was meant to be compelling, (and this is going to be odd coming from me) it feels too dry and compelling. The author tries to show, not tell but it feels like TELLING the entire time. Too many dead end conflicts and tangents that... Did they need to be there?
