Finding this book very difficult to read, content wise. The story of how they cruelly caught the momma sparrow, slit its throat to remove her eggs which then got squished by children was awful.

Really not in the right headspace for this book. It’s very meditative, wonderfully descriptive with very little plot / happening. It’s a short book but not necessarily a quick read as it’s best read slowly over some time which I don’t currently have

Reads very meditatively. A chapter just on the bell tower description. Nice prose but very slow, descriptive
