Having a hard time with this one. The prologue was great, intriguing for just a few pages but then the book started and the heroine isn’t really likable- not bad- just flat and brash & her use of curse words is distracting, overdone. 13 chapters in and I feel like I’ve read the same thing over and over- it’s repetitive without ever getting anywhere. I’d genuinely like to know when a plot is going to develop.

It's like a ten car pile up but with words instead of vehicles: cliche, repetitive, shallow, ridiculous, non-sensical, superficial, childish, awful, mind-numbing, catastrophic, a literary nightmare of silly school girl fantasies put on an agonizing loop where no new thought, idea, concept or word can make its way into the story! I've read four chapters and cannot fathom how there are three book in the series.

Incredibly slow. There is too much back story on non essential characters and the story drags as a result. There are moments of really good , intriguing writing and then it's drowned by inconsequential facts about random people.

Honestly, I'm a little bored. Curious... but also bored. Hope something interesting happens soon.

Day 48: I'm getting nervous about the direction of this book. Not where I thought this story was headed.

I'm surprised that this is as good as it has been. I didn't expect to be so interested but if I didn't have to work, this would probably have been a read straight through kind of book.
