Jo Rice is starting Isn’t It Nice We Both Hate the Same Things
I enjoyed this more than her debut novel. I enjoyed reading about her life as a radio producer and how our friendships are continually evolving as an adult.

This book felt a bit slow at times and I got frustrated with the choices made by the protagonist. Always nice to read a book set in your home city.

Jo Rice is starting The Pool
This book was difficult to follow sometimes due to the many characters and storylines running through it, and keeping track of them. The story is primarily in two parts - the initial party and then flash forward ten years later. There were some enjoyable bits and I thought the ending was good.

Jo Rice is starting The Inmate
Probably my least favourite that I’ve read from this author that I’ve read so far. The plot twists seem weak and contrived, and a bit unrealistic. I found Brooke’s character very frustrating as well. McFadden definitely has a formula that she follows, yet in this book it felt a bit flat for me.

Jo Rice is starting Expiration Dates
I found this book extremely easy to read - our protagonist Daphne is quite an endearing character and an original concept with a few twists along the way. Enjoyed reading a book set in LA as well.

Jo Rice is starting Mothers and Daughters
I enjoyed the setting of Broome and it definitely seems like a beautiful part of Australia to see. I found some characters really annoying such as Fiona and Janey. It took a while to keep track of all the characters. It is written in 3rd person throughout, yet the author shifts the focus throughout the novels. I found the chapters a bit long- each chapter is a day of the trip.
