In Dawn of the Dragons, John, Charlie, and Jack are Caretakers of the Imaginarium Geographica, a book that has all the maps of the ancient world they are traveling through. As Caretakers, they must protect the book and all the places pictured in the book. After solving the problem of the Winter King, they find out that there is a being making children dissapear. All the children are gone except for one, Laura Glue.

After Parzival won the hunt for for Halliday's Easter egg, he discovers that part of the prize is that "[his] avatar is immortal and all powerful" (363).

The mood I felt is confused because there are so many things going on in the book. The moment you think someone is a good character, they kill one of the main characters. There are many betrayals in the book. Also, there are many plans that aren't exactly explained. When you think one thing will happen, the exact opposite will happen.

The inciting incident that happened, occurred in the first book. When the evil king, Gaius, took over all of Mystica. This started conflicts with the other two kingdoms. In Paelsia, the citizens form rebel groups to combat the king. The princess of Auranos is captured and forced into marriage with the evil king's son. The princess wants do something about the king, but she doesn't know what she should do.
