I read ~100 pages of this on a flight, where I was sat between my partner (squeamish) and a nice older woman (vibe said sweet and mild) and yes I think toxic lesbian vampires was a great thing for them both to see when they glanced over!

ann liang continues to be one of the only authors who consistently write male love interests that don't irritate me so intensely that I wish I could leap into the book and romance the lead girl myself! aaron cai! wow!!

I literally can not express how excited I am to read this. so hyped that I'm reading it physically instead of as an ebook. my devotion to ann liang's books knows no bounds.

the library's limited collection can't stop me. file musical chairs can't stop me. having to go through three degrees of separation to send files to my kindle can't stop me. the fact that the font is lowkey tiny can't stop me (I'll fix it). we're so back.

you ever just...have such an insane year of reading that ends so strong, only to...struggle to reach that level at the beginning of a new year of reading

because by the end of january last year I had no less than three five star, life changing reads and this year

I have to find a banger soon or the winter is gonna get to me!

I got my wisdom teeth out this morning so you know what time it is
It's Heartstopper reread time!! This is my third or fourth reread I can't remember also I didn't track them last year oops

I waited three months for this to come in at the library and it's due today time to zoom

I'm ready to cry girlies let's go

So I was not planning on rereading this...
However I'm planning to read Lair of Dreams in October...
And I remember literally Nothing from The Diviners...
So here we are gals.

I have to say, this book was really hard to get through at first because of how hard the emotional punch hit me. It has gotten easier, but there's this wonderful nuance between the characters feeling joy and the hurt of the world around them. This is a work of art and I'm so glad to be reading it!

2021 reread in anticipation of Any Way The Wind Blows!

I'm having so much fun with this! I don't anticipate it will be life changing, or impact me more than by just being fun, but I'm loving it so far. It probably helps that I knew literally nothing about K-Pop going into it 🤷‍♀️
