John is finished with The Women
Being a VietNam veteran, I was captured by this novel from page 1! I had tears on several occasions while reading! The author sure did her homework! I'm glad this book showed up on my GOODREADS "Recommended" list!

This is really informative ... I'm glad I decided to read and learn of the shameful way we treated our Japanese citizens! Well researched and written!

It's a sad event in our history! A lot of hard work went into gathering the individual stories of those involved! I'm learning quite a bit from this book!

The author has done a ton of research. It is a story that you would say "This can't happen in America"! But it did! There are many dark spots in our American history, but this is at the top of the list. It's a story that needs to be told!

Interesting ... Learning a lot about the sport of rowing! Very well researched, with many side bars that kept story interesting. I get bogged down at times but then gain interest again. A book worth reading. It tells the story of overcoming many obstacles in the quest of gold in the 1936 Olympics!
