Oh my, the problem with Joe is I would not be surprised to know him in real life. The guy is crazy but smart.....we live to open on the web but use it as a screen to who we truly are.

It’s mentioned how Jaye’s are painted from the wedding....but she blew off that appointment due to lack of time trying to catch the killer before her wedding. She also did not go to a salon but had the funeral home’s make-up/ hair person trim her hair before the wedding. (Unless she went before her trip?)

😳this is written way to modern for a historical romance.....will finish it but am not feeling it!

First off she thinks if him in rather familiar terms quickly (Edward vs The Duke or his grace...)
Then suddenly having sex in the study when the house is filled with delivery people and new staff? Seems the point of this novel may be more about the sexual vs the people.....we will see

DNF....can not see any of this. Not my cup of tea.

I am not finding this book interesting. The use of old language is over whelming me and there is not enough of something to drag me in. For now this is a DNF

I am concerned how I will deal with this book due to its subject matter. I am really interested but am saddened to think at one time this is how we treated one another.
